EDoubleE Farms LLC is now an approved vendor able to receive funds through Oklahoma's Local Food for Schools program. That means participating schools can use their program funding to purchase our pasture-raised chicken grown, raised and processed right here in Oklahoma. We're excited about the opportunity to put locally raised Oklahoma protein on school lunch trays while helping schools keep more of their food dollars within our state. Better yet, you can preorder before market day so the chicken you want is already packed and waiting for you. This Week at EDoubleE Farms We took a weekend off to visit with friends and family who came to town! We checked out the Balloon Festival (a bit of a bust) on Friday morning, took the kids to the Bernice Nature Center, and then headed out to the Calf Fry in Vinita which was awesome and I'm so glad we got to go this year! IMPORTANT OTTAWA COUNTY FARMERS MARKET UPDATE A quick correction to our last newsletter: The Ottawa County Farmers Market’s move to the new location has been delayed until October. We will continue to be at the Miami Fairgrounds through the end of September. So for now, nothing changes!
